Confectionately Yours

Confectionately Yours is a series by Lisa Papademetriou that focuses on Hayley, a middle school student who handles her problems best when she can bake.  Between friendship struggles and handling her parents' divorce, she feels the need to bake a lot. It is a good thing her grandmother owns a tea shop and she gets to experiment a lot with new cupcake flavors!  This is a good series for 4th-6th graders.--Miss Rose

Caterina and the Perfect Party by Erin Kono

Caterina, a very organized owl, is going to throw the best party ever. Caterina is not expecting any problems because she has important lists of every detail. The big day comes and the weather is awful. Read on to see how Caterina's party turns out!  I love the artwork, and Caterina with her cat-shaped eyeglasses is the star of the show. Recommended for Gr. K-1.
