Kyle is super competitive and loves games, especially those designed by Luigi Lemoncello. Luckily for Kyle, Mr. Lemoncello has designed the new library in his town and he is fortunate enough to score an invitation to a special library preview just for kids. The library is no ordinary library and the lock-in is no ordinary event. If he stays long enough and uses his wits to solve puzzles and figure out how to escape from the library, Kyle just might win some fabulous prizes. He does his best, but not everyone in the game is playing fair.
This book is a great choice for fans of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and anyone who enjoys puzzles.

The Life of Ty: Penguin Problems by Lauren Myracle
Ty's life has been upside down ever since his baby sister Maggie was born a few weeks ago. He is not getting any of the attention he is used to at home. School is not always his favorite place to be. On a field trip to the aquarium, he gets frustrated when his classmates are allowed to break the rules, so he wanders off and finds himself in the penguin enclosure. He ends up taking home a baby penguin. Will his mother notice? Borrow this book and find out!

The False Prince: the Ascendance Trilogy
Book #1
By Jennifer
A. Nielsen
The False Prince is about a man who comes up with a wise but risky plan
to find an impersonator of the king’s long lost son and make him the king. So
the country can avoid a civil war. It’s upto four orphans to prove that they
can be the prince. I loved how the
author made the book really suspenseful and unpredictable. My favorite
character is Sage, an orphan. Recommended for those who love an exciting
mystery because this book makes you wonder who will be the one to impersonate
the prince.

Genie Wishes by Elisabeth Dahl
There are lots of changes in store for Genie as she begins fifth grade. Most exciting is the fact that she gets to run the class blog. Less exciting is the fact that her best friend, Sarah, is spending more and more time with Blair, the new girl in school. Genie grows up a lot during the school year, buying her first bra and adjusting to her father's new girlfriend. Things end on a happy note, with a new friend and Genie looking forward to attending middle school.

Prehistoric Actual Size
Prehistoric Actual Size
By Steve Jenkins
The eye-popping sequel
to the title Actual Size by Caldecott
Honor winner Steve Jenkins.
What is it like to
come face-to-face with the eight foot tall terror bird? Or stare into the mouth
of the largest meat eater to ever walk the earth. You feel as if you have traveled back to prehistoric times and can
actually see the dinosaurs in front of you. His stunning paper collage
illustrations provide artistic interpretations of what each animal may have
looked like, and the name and brief description of each animal is accompanied
by its time of existence (in millions of years) and measurements. The tiniest - a protozoan - is a mere dot, while the teeth alone of the largest - the
Giganotosaurus - fill the page.
For Preschoolers – 3rd
Grade.
