Genie Wishes by Elisabeth Dahl

There are lots of changes in store for Genie as she begins fifth grade.  Most exciting is the fact that she gets to run the class blog.  Less exciting is the fact that her best friend, Sarah, is spending more and more time with Blair, the new girl in school.  Genie grows up a lot during the school year, buying her first bra and adjusting to her father's new girlfriend.  Things end on a happy note, with a new friend and Genie looking forward to attending middle school.
Recommended for grades 4 and 5.
